Today 1859 road service facilities are operating in the republic, mainly gas stations, retail and food outlets. Corresponds to 804 ODS (43%). By the end of this year, it is planned to bring the number of facilities that meet the National Standard to 818 units.
Together with the Akimats of the regions, an Action Plan was developed to bring road service facilities in line with the requirements of the National Standard. Working groups for the development of service facilities have been created in the regional Akimats.
The Aktobe region, taking into account the construction of the international highway “Western Europe – Western China,” has enormous potential for the development of roadside services along highways. 10 thousand cars drive daily along the international transport corridor Western Europe – Western China.
The reconstruction of the highway allowed to increase the volume of freight traffic through Kazakhstan by more than 2.5 times. The active use of the transport highway contributes to the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the most remote areas.
On the roads of republican significance of the Aktobe region (1894 km), 106 roadside service facilities operate, including by type of service:

National Standard
By order of the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 205 dated October 10, 2014, the National Standard ST RK 2476-2014 was approved and put into effect. This standard was developed on the basis of international requirements for roadside and road service facilities.
This Standard establishes the general requirements for the services provided on the public roads by the objects of roadside service and road service, as well as the rules for their placement and arrangement.
Complex objects of roadside service, depending on their composition and the types of services they provide, are divided into categories “A”, “B”, “C” and “D”.
Currently, the National Standard is being amended to bring the terms in accordance with the Technical Regulation “On Road Safety”, the addition of category “E” for caravanning sites, etc.
Most of the roadside service facilities do not meet the requirements of the National Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Public Roads. Requirements for objects of road service and their services ”and is not capable of fully providing international transit traffic services.
